Data transformation Excel HACK to quickly distribute data from one column into many columns
In this video I introduce the INDIRECT formula in Excel and show how you can use it to turn thousands of rows of data from a single column into multiple columns. In this case, a client needed to split hourly temperature data exported from a sensor into individual columns for each day. Using the Indirect function in Excel we turned hours of data manipulation work into minutes with an automated approach that doesn't require vba programming.
