An account is a summary of relevant transactions at one place relating to particular head. It records not only the amount of transaction but also their effect and direction. In other words, in a bookkeeping system, a record of all the transactions relating to a particular person or item is called “Account”. A cash transaction is the immediate payment of cash for the purchase of an asset. Some market stock transactions are considered cash transactions although the trade may not settle for a few days. Credit transaction means any transaction by the terms of which the repayment of money loaned or loan commitment made, or payment for goods, services, or properties sold or leased, is to be made at a future date or dates.
