My name is Mårten and this is my journey into photographing the stars and deep sky objects. In this video I will capture a nebula with the Baader UHC-S L-Booster increase contrast filter and compare the results with the same nebula captured without a filter. The test is done using my stock (non-modified) Canon 60D DSLR and a 2” filter threaded into my SkyWatcher EvoFrame camera rotator. I will show you comparisons for individual single subs, stacked subs and final processed images of the Elephant’s Trunk Nebula.

My equipment
SkyWatcher HEQ5 Pro
SkyWatcher Evostar 80ED Pro (0,85x FF/FR)
SkyWatcher Evoguide 50ED
Canon 60D DSLR (main camera, not modified)
ZWO ASI 120MM Mini (guide camera)
ZWO EAF Automatic Focuser
