UAC New Player Experience (Bonus video): T3 Nightmare, No Hits
No captions for this video - the videos marked as 'bonus' have some other feature (in this case, we were all talking in discord voice chat) which hopefully make the caption commentary unnecessary (read: an excuse for me to not spend time writing them). Unfortunately I didn't figure out how to get my own microphone input to come through the video before the game started, so you'll just have to listen to everyone else for this one (MasterWee gives a lot of callouts, so keep an ear out for those if you want to know what you should be doing at various points in the game).
In this game I'm playing as the Combat Medic, an essential class in any large group run. As long as you can keep an eye out for people who need healing, and don't get caught out of position, this is a very solid class for newer players to easily contribute in the 'higher end' runs while picking up the finer details of what is expected from people in these runs. I also manage to get away without having any hits registered against me this game (if you take damage but have 8+ shields, it wont count), which unlocks the Obsidian camo and the Veteran SI.
VT is a very potent SI that you can unlock pretty early now since it doesn't require bank XP, but requires you to be on the ball with avoiding hits. The unlock requirement of not taking any hits in a nightmare game was intended as a way to prove that you have the fundamentals needed to make the SI work and not be a detriment to your team. I'll probably try using it in a future NPE video, but as usual no promises as to when that will be.
In the Campaign modes, your team is tasked with completing various objectives throughout the game. These can range from simple escort assignments to search-and-destroy missions. While failing these missions does not necessarily result in losing the game, it is generally in your best interest to complete as many as possible.
