Cassia and rubia. Does cassia and rubia cover gray hair? What hair color will result from combining cassia and rubia? See the results. LOTS of info down below in the video description ⏬⏬⏬⏬

WATCH THE PREVIOUS VIDEO IN THE CASSIA AND AMLA SERIES:
CASSIA AND AMLA:    • CASSIA I AMLA czy pokrywa siwe włosy ? odc.49

INGREDIENTS:
These are the ingredients for the cassia and rubia mixture (for shoulder-length hair) I used in this video:
cassia obovata powder from @KHADI (50 g)
rubia, or MANJISTHA powder from @sattva (2 tablespoons)
hot distilled or filtered water, or flaxseed oil (about 200-250 ml)
citric acid (2 teaspoons)

HOW TO MIX CASSIA WITH RUBIA?
In a bowl, preferably glass or plastic, add both herbs, citric acid, and and pour in water at a temperature of approximately 60℃-80℃. Add the water gradually, stirring constantly.
Mix until a smooth and uniform paste is obtained (this will take some time).
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and set aside in a warm place for 12-24 hours. (I set aside for 20 hours.)

HOW TO APPLY CASSIA WITH RUBIA TO YOUR HAIR?
Wash your hair with a strong shampoo containing SLS and Disodium EDTA (a substance called a chelating agent).
You can also chelate your hair to remove hard water deposits and buildup from other product residues.
After chelating, your hair is thoroughly cleansed of any buildup.
The simplest chelation method is to add vitamin C tablets and citric acid to a serving of an emollient mask, or wash with a chelating agent. That is, a shampoo with SLS or the addition of Disodium EDTA.
(I don't use extra chelation because my shampoo is sufficient, and my tap water is soft and clean.)

Apply our remaining herbal mixture.
It's best to apply it with your hands (don't worry - it doesn't stain).
Start applying the cassia at the top of your head and apply it in sections, twisting it at the top of your head into a bun (this is the spiral method).
Wrap your head in plastic wrap and put on an old hat.
Let it sit for 4 to 6 hours.
Rinse with warm water (without shampoo) and dry.
Shampoo your hair only after two days (because the herbs are still active during that time).
I also applied an emollient conditioner.

MY COMMENTS:
While editing this video, I was wondering why my hair turned out to be a shade of yellow this time, and when I used the cassia and rubia method in Poland, the shade was I had a warm brown color. I liked the effect I got when I made the cassia in Poland better, although today's is also nice.

Well, I think I found the cause 😉 The citric acid is probably the culprit, as it lightened my hair a bit. And I have to admit, my hair is very susceptible to bleaching. In the summer, the Greek sun is enough for me to lighten my hair strands 😊
So, let's compare the ingredients I used in both cases:

A month ago in POLAND and now in GREECE:
Cassia brand SATTVA 50 g - Cassia brand KHADI 50 g
Citric acid 1 teaspoon - Citric acid 2 teaspoons
Bottled water 230 ml - Tap water 200 ml
Rubia 2 tablespoons (the same in both cases)

So, comparing the ingredients I used in both cases, the fact that my hair turned out lighter and more yellow is probably due to the citric acid. Acid or (less likely) another brand of cassia.

I have to admit that after a month, the amla and rubia wash out of my hair, and I think I should use them more often to maintain the effect.
But all is not lost 😉 My experiments with cassia will continue, so there will definitely be other videos in this series. I have to admit, I'm tempted to add henna to the cassia, but I'm a little worried because the henna won't rinse out like cassia and other herbs I've used so far. Oh well 🤔, we'll see 😉

Warmest regards, and until the next video. Bye 😘
