South Park's SECRET Trilogy
Over the last nearly 3 decades South Park has been no stranger to the trilogy. In fact, many of the show’s most iconic and beloved episodes are three part stories, Imaginationland, the superhero trilogy, and of course Black Friday. But there’s actually an even OLDER South Park 3-parter that I was surprised to learn many fans don’t even realize is a trilogy. Back in season 3, fresh off production of the South Park movie, Matt and Trey made the ambitious decision to make three episodes of South Park that all happen simultaneously on the same evening. This is of course, The Meteor Shower Trilogy. And while all three of these episodes are pretty different, they also contain some huge revelatory decisions that would shift the future of the show, in a very fun interwoven package. So let’s talk about South Park’s secret trilogy, The Meteor Shower Trilogy.
