Kulev is a ranged healer with anti-CC shield. He heals passively around self, and places ground-based AoE healing and damaging zone. He can also curse one enemy to amplify incoming damage.
Kulev has no escapes besides his shield. He should position away, preferably above the battle, close to jump-pads, corners and all kinds of cover to kite around in case things go wrong.
This build focuses on Kulev's shield. Not only this makes it more forgiving for beginners, shield is actually a pretty strong ability. Well-placed shield decides battles. Since it gives immunity to staggers from basic melee attacks, it is best used on allied damage-dealers under pressure. With shield on, Nid wrecks terrible havoc in a crowd. Good Gizmo will show ridiculous numbers at end screen if properly protected. Of course, nothing wrong to throw a shield on any target that is being pressed, be it a fellow healer or even a tank with empty HP bar. Least useful on tanks, though.
Two mods are mandatory for this shield-based build:
— 2 sec shield duration
— 30% shield strength.
They provide infinite anti-CC for Kulev and allies.
Other mods I can suggest:
— 20% staff radius. Area of this thing becomes HUGE.
— 50% increased staff health. Occasionally I face people who focus my staff, then I switch to this.
— Bamboozle targets move faster. Effectiveness is questionable, but fun is real.
