Two THUMB TUCK EXERCISES for improving your PIANO SCALES fast. This scale exercise is for piano beginners and also a piano scale exercise for intermediate and advanced players. Thumb tuck, also referred to as thumb under, is a crucial skill of flexible and agile thumbs necessary in not only scales but many other techniques. I call it "centering the thumbs" because the hand moves around the thumbs.

I started to play the piano "LATE" as a teenager, I was fifteen. However, I was lucky to have a very great teacher early on. I studied hard and managed to pass the entrance exam for the conservatory in just 4 years of piano lessons playing Chopin's etude opus 25/12, Chopin's Fantasie-Impromptu, and Nocturne in F-Major, Mozart's sonata KV332, and Bach's Prelude and Fuge in C-minor.
