Palu Floating Mosque, also known as Arqam Babu Rahman Mosque is a mosque in the city of Palu, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. The mosque is an icon of the city of Palu, which is known for floating in Palu Bay.
On September 28, 2018, the city of Palu and its surroundings was hit by an earthquake accompanied by a tsunami. The mosque, which is located on the shores of Palu Bay, was not spared the brunt of the tsunami. As a result of the tsunami, the pillars of the floating mosque collapsed and part of the mosque building sank into the sea water.
