Will Smith talks about Responsibility
Our culture has become pretty heavily victimization focused.
"This terrible thing has happened! They owe me!"
The problem is that this doesn't work. They aren't the one with power in my life, and I prefer it that way.
Sure, they hurt me, they done me wrong. That sucks.
But I'm the one with the power to fix this. That's the way God made me. And when I don't know how, God guides me and helps me exercise that power.
