This week, we're talking about our must-read manga. Those series we adore and eagerly await with each new volume. Series that you, our dear listeners, also enjoy, we know. But series for which we can never seem to find the right excuse to talk about...
Vote now!
This episode is therefore an answer to this frustration: how to find an opportunity to talk to you about must-read manga? And above all, how to choose them? This selection was the subject of a large survey, in which we submitted a list of titles for which YOU would have to vote: 6 titles out of about twenty suggestions. And several hundred of you participated. So, thank you for that!
Heads up, spoilers ahead!
And thank you especially for the titles you chose. Because let's just say, it's going to be epic! Since it was obviously impossible to talk about six titles in a one-hour show, we decided to split these "music to watch" episodes over two. And we're going to kick off this love list with three big ones: Sakamoto Days (briefly mentioned in the last episode), Dai Dark (the team's top manga for 2022), and Asadora (by the one and only Naoki Urasawa) – see you next week for the other three! WARNING: This episode contains spoilers, so if you don't want to spoil the series for yourself, please refer to the timecodes below. But let's get started right away, talking about fights, absurd humor, and the science of drama for an hour with Kanyar, Maxime, and Robin. You too can come and discuss your must-watch manga on #5dc, the manga discussion group, or on our Discord server.
