A little under the weather...
Here are thirteen very diverse titles to illustrate this summer's manga. Sports, fighting, slice-of-life, drama, fantasy, and even graphic novels. It's difficult to summarize our selection because the chosen series are so varied. Yet, our reviewers haven't found THE favorite of the season. You know, that title that captivates us all and sweeps us off our feet. Have we succumbed to the prevailing gloom? To remedy this, you need to choose your new manga for summer 2024, full of energy and inventiveness!
Some exercise to get all that moving!
Whether it's with titles like Tank Chair (Kana), Gokurakugai (Pika), or Nine Peaks (Ki-oon), the action manga genre is always a strong contender! Those looking for something a little gentler can check out Anzu and the Kingdom of Darkness (Kinayé) or Alice in Kyoto Forest (Delcourt). Fans of drama and psychological tension will be delighted by The Ichinose Family's Deadly Sins (Kana) as well as by the discovery of Live Memorium (Glénat). To cope with the current situation, let's take inspiration from DOGA of the Great Arch (Ki-oon) for its resourceful ideas. On a more practical note, publisher Kurokawa is offering "En Selle, Sakamichi" (In the Saddle, Sakamichi) without a dust jacket, so you can save a few euros and get excited about this very long-running sports series! This summer, manga will be diverse and varied, from fresh titles like "L'Amour et au menu" (Love is on the Menu) (Delcourt) to classics like Shigeru Mizuki's "Akuma-kun" (Cornélius).
