Changing the brightness on Windows 11 is similar to Windows 10, but with slight variations. Here are the three main ways to adjust it:
1. Using Quick Settings (Most Convenient):
Click on the network icon (or battery icon depending on your settings) in the taskbar (far right corner).
In the Quick Settings panel that appears, you should see a brightness slider.
Drag the slider left to decrease or right to increase the brightness to your preference.
2. Using Settings App:
Click the Start menu (Windows icon) in the bottom left corner.
Select Settings (gear icon).
Go to System and then Display.
Under Brightness & color, locate the Brightness slider.
Drag the slider left or right to adjust the brightness level.
3. Using Keyboard Shortcut Keys (Laptops Only):
This method is the same as Windows 10:
Look for dedicated brightness control keys on your keyboard. These are usually function keys (F1-F12) with brightness symbols or icons.
Look for keys with sun symbols or brightness indicators. These might be labeled with "Fn" next to them, meaning you need to hold the Fn key while pressing the brightness key.
Experiment with the keys (usually one increases brightness, the other decreases) to find the desired level.
