Uri Geller, perhaps the most famous person in the world to claim psychic abilities, is known for his seemingly illogical skills, such as mind-bending spoons, telekinesis, and mind-reading. His international fame was cemented in the 1970s thanks to his remarkable psychic abilities.

In late 1972, the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) conducted studies on Uri Geller under the direction of researchers Harold Bathoff and Russell Targ. The primary objective of these studies was to examine his alleged psychic abilities, particularly telekinesis (the ability to bend metal objects with the mind) and extrasensory perception (the ability to guess hidden objects or drawings).

The results of five weeks of experiments were documented in a previously confidential memoir. This report describes a video shown in January 1973 at the CIA's Office of Research and Development (https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/docs/CIA-R....

In the video, astronaut Edgar Mitchell, blindfolded, is shown attempting to read the number sent by Geller. Also visible are Wilbur Franklin of Kent State University, Harold Bathoff and Russell Targ of the Stanford Research Institute (SRI), and Don Sheokh, vice president of research at SRI.

This study and the seemingly paranormal phenomena associated with Ari Geller have been the subject of much debate and discussion within the scientific community and among the general public. These phenomena continue to be studied and discussed over time.
