Johnny: what is Litecoin?
Devin: Litecoin is a peer-to-peer Internet currency that enables instant, near-zero cost payments to anyone in the world. Litecoin is an open source, a global payment network that is fully decentralized without any central authorities.
Johnny: Why Bitcoin over bitcoin?
Devin: The Litecoin blockchain is capable of handling higher transaction volume than its counterpart - Bitcoin. Due to more frequent block generation, the network supports more transactions without a need to modify the software in the future.
Johnny: is it mineable?
Devin: Yes it is a mineable blockchain, also it is open source so anyone can change the code to use the Litecoin program for their own uses.
Johnny: how is litecoin doing?
Devin: Well I am glad you asked Johnny. Litecoin is having an incredible week and is currently sitting at $218. Now that is for a couple of reason I believe. So today Litecoin Cash split from the Litecoin blockchain any Litecoin holder will receive 10 new coins for every Litecoin they own. So that could work out really well for everyone or…. It could go down like hang glider named Icarus. Should be a fun ride! SO like the Bitcoin Cash split everyone is calling it a scam. That seems to be working out ok. We all know Litecoin is fine guys. But be careful with this leechcoin.
Johnny: Some interesting things in the wire about litecoin. We already know that it is useful to use Monero and litecoin together for transferring money. There are whispers that a partnership is looming, which would make sense for two coins with different functions to band together to survive.
