Tangled Tunes - Hang Down Your Mama
This is the fifth in my series of Terry D's "Tangled Tunes". The video was taken a few days ago as we drove through Denver on a slightly sprinkly night.
In this one, the original songs are conveniently in the same key (E), so that made combining them a bit easier, as I didn't have to struggle with excessive pitch-matching (just a little).
The beat from "Motorcycle Mama" is consistent throughout the song, until the very end. "Tom Dooley" has no percussion whatsoever, other than that provided by the guitar and banjo, so keep this in mind when listening; the beat is taken entirely from the Sailcat song. That was the trickiest part of doing this one. It is an interesting blend of swing and straight tempos.
As usual, the lyrics are completely incongruous... who cares? :D Thanks for watching and subscribing.
