If you want to reset or restore the dock display on Ubuntu to the default setting view, then you can do it with the following steps:
1. Open Terminal,
2. Type or copy and paste the command "dconf reset -f /org/gnome/shell/extensions/dash-to-dock/" into Terminal,
3. Then press the Enter key on the keyboard,
4. After that, type or copy paste the command "gsettings reset org.gnome.shell favorite-apps" in the Terminal to make the shortcut/favorite application display on the dock the default dock shortcut application,
5. Press the Enter key again on the keyboard,
6. Done.
