5G Network Architecture
This is a high level overview of 4G and 5G mobile transport networks and explains terminology such as fronthaul, mid-haul, and backhaul, how the BBUs are disaggregated into DU and CU, non-standalone and stand alone modes, and CPRI/E-CPRI protocols versus 3GPP's xRAN and Radio over Ethernet.
