Due to multiple requests and the number of people seeing the HBO series "The Curious Case of Natalia Grace (quite a despicable excuse of a documentary), I will be analyzing the case and the main characters and their representation in the series. This is rather personal for me, so I will be offering both an objective profiler's viewpoint and a subjective viewpoint due to the fact I also adopted a six-year-old child and have personal experience within the adoptive and foster system.
Was Natalia Grace really a Ukranian adult posing as a child? Is she a dangerous psychopath? How did her adoptive parents end up with a child they claim terrorized them and how did they manage to remove her from their home and leave her on her own in an apartment if she could well be a child - not an adult - and with her disability of dwarfism?
It is an unsettling case and while it is difficult to get at the truth, there is much that CAN be learned from this case.
