It's about critical thinking, free mind and using of same, and pointing
Out certain trends in society ( the one dealt with here I personally consider
Deconstructive and reductive )
I apologize for spelling mistake in the video it's *melody comparison, not "melodically"
I have nothing against Lady Gaga personally, nor should she care If I did, I am one person only. But it irks me greatly when so called "little monsters" most of who have no decency, ethics, moral or scruple go around posting videos of overlays to show how the "melodies are not the same". It's a typical smoke screen and a logical fallacy called weak analogy. They overlay the songs since they very well know, that parts of the melodies borrowed are simply reorganized, sometimes also speed up, or slowed down, remixed or overlain by beats and what not. What more, two songs plaid at the same time are for most people too much distracting, confusing and intelligible to get anything from such, barren comparison.
Hence why in this video, parts of the melodies are used and compared as excerpts, or samples , played one after another, based on their resemblance.
Hence:
1) first we have opening of "Celebration" by Madonna then opening of Lady Gaga's "Applause"
2) we have "Girl gone wild" by Madonna , part, compared to Lady Gaga's Applause
3) another part of "Girl gone wild" by Madonna , compared to Lady Gaga's Applause
4) Finally we have Calvin Harris' ( feat Kelis ) - Bounce bar , compared to the one from the ending of Applause
Listening up closely, see for Yourself how similar ( I won't use identical for strictly technically melody and it's remix are not identical even If they share most of the notes )
It's had become a nasty trend for quite some time now, to sample ( even heavily ) music of another artist and not even try to give credits. Being that these people make money of it, sell records and concert tickets, that is no longer simply copyright infringement, it's also a fraud and hence a felony, which receives social acceptance, condoning and indulgence from way too many people, fans of the artist in particular.
Hence when people post comparison of those videos, particularly those done properly they force YT stuff to tame them down, showing their ugly and nasty hypocrisy, and cheeky dare beyond imagination of common polite person.
With that being said I welcome You to download, re-upload or post this educational video elsewhere.
