Skyrim SE (& More) Modding Guide for Steam Deck / Linux with Vortex

I'd recommend launching Skyrim normally first, setting the resolution to whatever you want and exiting
as you will need to switch back (or edit the config file) to switch resolution after installing the script extender

Steam - Skyrim SE - Properties - Browse local files
the 2 DLL files, the EXE and the Data folder, drag into the SkyrimSE folder, so that the Data folders are merged
-- Install Vortex through Lutris --
Install Lutris through Discover if it is not already installed

sed -i s/^xdg/#xdg/ vortex-symlinks.sh
flatpak run net.lutris.Lutris -i ~/Downloads/vortex.yml
follow the installer, replace vortex-symlinks.sh with the modified one
When it prompts you, disconnect, launch then disable auto-update, close launcher and reconnect

Download any mods you wish to install
Launch Vortex, scroll down and click 'manage'
'Mods' tab, import from file, click on /, /home/deck/Downloads/mod.zip
Enable/disable any mods, you may also need to enable the plugins
If you want to change game settings (resolution or graphics preset), you will have to
use the old launcher again (i.e. renaming old_skyrimlauncher.exe to SkyrimSELauncher.exe)
