I kid you not, I think Picnics in Paris are part of the reason we moved to Paris! And as I type this, I'm thinking to myself, "we have not had enough picnics yet this year!" I think we will be planning one this weekend!
We love that the French are successful at relaxing. I honestly think picnic-ing is a sport here. Visit any of the parks in Paris and you'll see people lounging on picnic blankets, eating, drinking, laughing, snuggling with their loved ones, reading a book, taking a nap. Doesn't it sound wonderful?
Now I know if you're like us, your first trip to Paris will be a crazy whirlwind. BUT...I want to encourage you to take 2-3 hours to just "be." Find the perfect spot for you, pull up some Earth as I like to say -- or one of the infamous green chairs -- and just enjoy the weather, the company you're with (even if it's yourself), soak it all in, and I promise you won't regret taking that pause. In fact, please, please, if you take our advice, leave us a comment below and let us know where you decided to picnic. How did it go? What was your favorite part?
