The Evolution of Trickshots
This documentary-style video encompasses the history of trickshots, from Dude Perfect, to the Harlem Globetrotters, to artistic pool, to Legendary Shots, and much, much more.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION THAT WAS EXCLUDED:
Legendary Shots actually made trick shot videos previous to the ones they uploaded to YouTube in 2008. Beginning in 2004, they recorded some trick shots with the intent of selling them as a DVD. While this never panned out, this set the stage for their viral internet videos.
The realm of trickshots is much more diverse than I acknowledged in this video. Trickshots span many social media platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Tik Tok, and multiple others. On each of these platforms, trickshots have taken a different form. I covered mainly the trickshots done on YouTube and Instagram, and even still, focused on the most common types. In future videos I may dive in deeper to the different forms trick shots have assumed, and how the different platforms have shaped this evolution.

Please let me know in the comments what you thought of this video! It took me 30+ hours to make, and is the first video of this kind that I've ever made, so I'm simultaneously proud of it and also looking forward to improving a lot of things. There are lots of rabbit-holes that can be explored with this type of video, so let me know if you have any ideas for future videos like this. I feel that this kind of video is a nice compromise between what I want to create and what most of my subscribers want to see. Many of them subscribed for my trickshot videos, which I now upload infrequently because I don't enjoy making them as much as I used to. This type of video includes trickshots, appeasing my trick shot audience, while also being an entirely different kind of video for me to make. So yeah, I hope you enjoyed. There are many things that I dislike about this video, but also many things that I'm happy with. Let me know your opinion.
