Empathy -- The Tao of Leadership
Jack Myers talks about one of the principles found in his book, The Tao of Leadership. He says empathy has become so important in the new blueprint for leadership that he used the word 150 times in his book. It's the opposite of the "boss culture" we have reignited in recent years, which is a toxic masculinity model. The younger generations, such as Gen Z and younger Millennials, just don't respond well to that type of leadership. There's a shift needed in utilizing empathy, which can move and motivate employees much better than the old command-and-control model of leadership.
