We present an interview with German Karelsky, PhD, psychologist, sexologist, addiction specialist, Tibetan Buddhist practitioner, and one of the leaders of Russian transpersonal psychology.
German's professional work is related to transpersonal psychology; he developed a training program on spiritual obstetrics and perinatal psychology. He is the President of the Russian Association of Transpersonal Psychology and Psychotherapy.
In this interview, German helps us understand the classical, ancient understanding of the word "tantra" and distinguishes between tantra and modern neo-tantric practices. In the interview, we will discuss the three main paths to enlightenment, which may seem complex at first glance, from the perspective of Tibetan Buddhism: the "path of tantra," the "path of sutra," and the "path of Dzogchen."
The master impresses with his extensive knowledge and experience in the study of human consciousness. He has studied with the most renowned leaders of transpersonal psychology. He has studied with many spiritual teachers, including those of the Bon tradition, and has been trained in transformational techniques by Peruvian shamans.
