"Tastings with Leonid Krol" is a humorous documentary about a serious subject, in which renowned Russian psychologist and coach Leonid Krol opens the doors of the Incantico estate to us and reveals his provocative yet caring style of work.
Leonid created Incantico as a dedicated space for coaching and training, inspired by the Esalen Institute—an iconic Californian commune and settlement established in 1962. When we arrived at the estate, we were stunned by the amount of work, patience, and thought that had gone into this place. This space has been lovingly curated, offering groups and individuals the opportunity to endlessly explore, observe, discover new facets, and connect with nature and the world.
One of the film's heroes is our director, Zhenya Lapteva. Zhenya says that for her, this work is about courage, about accepting who you are, about allowing yourself to be different, and about simply "being."
