The film is fed into the machine from a roll. It is unwound and transported to the wrapping station.
The product is positioned in the machine, usually by a conveyor system depending on the design.
The film is wrapped around the product. In an intermittent motion machine, this involves a stop-and-go process where the product is briefly halted while the film is wrapped and sealed.
After the film wraps around the product, the machine creates seals at the ends and often along the sides. This might involve heating elements that press and melt the film to create a secure seal.
Once wrapped, the product is moved out of the machine, often onto another conveyor for further processing or packaging.
