Red Ruby & Ermi Show discusses Songwriting and the Music Business. This Episode, Sean Coleman Discusses what he's trying to achieve in the next five years. He's working on numerous albums within a concept, and also finishing up a science book. Coleman wouldn't discuss at this time, but it sounds like a very exciting and original project. Also included are the Red Ruby & Ermi Show outtakes. Coleman says his book is about answering questions through the Unified Field with a new point of view, for release around 2020. Ermi states that it's difficult writing songs, recording, producing, making videos, editing, lighting, social media. Sean prefers to just focus on one thing, like writing, and have others do the recording. We had to cut the interview short, because of the video light turning into a strobe light. Sean Coleman is a very prolific singer, songwriter, guitarist, bass player, and drummer. He has been active in the local Boston rock music scene since the nineties. Born in Cambridge and raised in Billerica, Massachusetts, Sean has written and recorded hundreds of songs over the years which have yielded several independently produced albums, where he performs not only vocals, but all instruments, as well. These are some of Coleman's popular songs, Unified Field, Show Me, Say Hello, Mother Universe, Luminous. Help Each Other Out, Easy Day, Delicate Woman, Coco (Run Free).
Sean is also lead singer and guitarist for the Revere, Massachusetts based band, "Thats That" and performs solo and duo acoustic shows all around the Boston and New England area. Other projects for Sean include lead vocals and guitar for the Sean Coleman Trio. Sean is also a member of the long standing Boston band,The Slushpuppies.
Sean's musical influences range from classical, jazz, blues, rock, country, soul, hip-hop and techno.
The lyrics from his original songs are deep and insightful and the melodies carry complexities that showcase his artistic talents and creativity. Whether Sean is belting out Led Zeppelin, one of today's latest hits or one of his many originals on stage, his performances are mesmerizing.
