After waiting for a long time, Ben decides that Gin must have been captured since he has not given the signal for attack. So, he launches his charge, only to lead his platoon into a trap of poisonous barbs laid for them by Akame. Smith rushes to help when Akame appears and announces that they will be dead soon, but it is then that Akame recognizes Ben and, after a talk, realizes they've both been tricked into thinking they were enemies by the Koga dogs.
