Executive producers Tim Robbins and Fernando Meirelles present the most original documentary of the year. In theaters May 30, 2014 from Syndicado and Variance Films.
Elena moved to New York to become an actress, leaving behind her seven-year-old sister, Petra. But the calls and letters from Elena began to trail off, and one day, Elena was never heard from again. Years later, Petra follows in her footsteps, hoping to become an actress and perhaps find her sister in the streets of New York. But the film, the filmmaker, and the audience cannot escape the similarities between the stories of the sisters, which overlap and begin to blur, challenging us to discover truths about forgiveness, loss, catharsis, and love.
