Multi grips, multi-grip pliers, water pump pliers, whatever you might know them as, are a common tool in tool boxes and workshops. Usually the tool of last resort, although to some DIY practitioners, they can be the tool of first resort, but they can be very handy. In this workshop, 5c collets, are used in either block holders for milling, or in the lathe for turning. To date, 5c collets, have been tighten in place using multigrips which are marking the holders. This episode is going to be about making a 60mm open end spanner to tighten the collet chuck in the lathe and a c type pin spanner to tighten the ring of the block holder.
