On September 2, 2023, after four attempts to podium at what is perhaps the world’s most prestigious ultra trail race, Jim Walmsley became the first American man to win UTMB, climbing nearly 33,000 feet and setting the record for the 106-mile course at 19 hours 37 minutes and 43 seconds.
