Cylinder Sleeve in Internal Combustion Engine
The walls of the sleeve, together with the cylinder cover (head) and the piston, form the engine combustion chamber, serve as guides for the piston movement, transfer heat from gases and piston to the cooling system, perceive and transfer gas pressure and lateral forces to the engine frame (block) from the piston.
