iOS 13.2 is out Finally !
In this video we are going to cover the changes that matter the most
New features / bug Fixes / Jailbreak
Stay until the end of the video before you decide to update your iPhone, because I found some serious bugs
After a weird iOS 13.1 release schedule, followed by two quick updates (iOS 13.1.1 and 13.1.2) fixing some bugs and keeping others unfixed
Apple has finally released one of its most important software updates for iPhone, iOS 13.2
New features
1. The major new feature is DEEP FUSION computational photography upgrade for the new iPhones. It is activated by default after updating
I’ve tried it myself and for - low light and indoor images – it does a good job. Watch this…
3 modes of operation for the cameras:
The standard wide angle lens will use Smart HDR for bright to medium-light scenes, Deep Fusion for medium to low light, and Night mode for dark scenes
The telephoto lens will usually use Deep Fusion, using Smart HDR only on very bright scenes, and Night mode for very dark scenes
The ultra-wide lens will always use Smart HDR; it supports neither Deep Fusion nor Night mode
2. SIRI PRIVACY CONTROLS
When iOS 13.2 is installed, a new splash screen gives users the ability to opt out of sharing audio from that iPhone or any connected Apple Watch or HomePod
Also, there’s a toggle for “Improve Siri & Dictation” in the Privacy section of the Settings app.
And in the Siri & Search section of the Settings app, you have the option to delete your Siri and dictation history
3. SET VIDEO RESOLUTION and FRAME RATE right in the Camera app
Just tap on the resolution or frame rate to switch between different settings. It is available only on iPhone 11 and 11 pro models !!!
4. NEW EMOJI
59 new emoji promised this summer are finally available in iOS 13.2
5. Announce Messages with Siri
The ability to hear incoming messages and reply to them without even saying “Hey, Siri” is finally a part of iOS 13.2
Requires 2nd generation AirPods and newer or PowerBeats Pro
6. Plus:
A new Research app that could change medicine in the future as iPhone users can share their health situations with large-scale medical studies
And the ability to delete quickly apps from the home screen. When you long-press on an app icon, there is a new option to “Delete app.”
Bug fixes & Improvements
The lag has been removed from the lock screen when opening up the camera
App switch animation is faster and more responsive
The battery life seems to be fixed. I haven’t noticed any quick drain of the battery on the iPhone 11 Pro Max
The performance is good. No lags noticed
A better ram management preventing apps from reloading every time you switch between apps
Other visual and sound changes in different parts of iOS, making it better looking
Bugs found in iOS 13.2
I found 3 bugs in this update so far
It is breaking some HomePods while updating to iOS 13.2 and get stuck on a boot loop.
You’ll have to take your HomePod to an Apple Store to get it fixed
The audio sharing feature in iOS 13.2 is incomplete. You can share with 2 AirPods without a problem, but when you try to share with other sources like an iPad, it doesn’t work properly
The transfer music to HomePod while you are listening to music on your device and holding it next to the HomePod isn’t working at all
JailBreak
The jailbreak for iOS 13.2 is not available so far. But it is whispering that it will be soon available
Should you update?
The most important thing to keep in mind:
There will probably be some minor bugs here and there, and this is natural in an operating system that includes so many new features and enhancements each year
In my opinion, if you are not currently using a HomePod, or sharing music with other persons, it is important to update to this latest version even if you face a few minor bugs
So far, it is the most stable version of iOS that includes the latest safety and protection features from viruses and malware
