Herod the Great - King of Judea
Father Antipater procurator for helping Caesar in the Pompey-Caesar Civil War, his son governor of Galilee. Caesar dies and the two of them move in together, while raising taxes, but rebellions kill his father, who successfully takes revenge.
Rewarded by Antony for his support of the other civil war, he became governor of Galilee, but forced into exile in 40 BC, he returned to Palestine and captured Jerusalem. When he realized that he was supporting the losing side, he joined the other side of Octavian's force, sailing to Rhodes to see him, and was appointed King of Judea to pursue the Lovers of Egypt (Antony and Cleopatra).
An earthquake shook the city, forcing it to be rebuilt using King David's gold by the secret police.
The Pharisees condemned sacrifices to the gods and Rome.
He murdered his entire second family.
In the 77th Generation, he ordered the extermination of all premature children when he obviously mentioned the guy called Jesus.
He died 2 years later and the region was defragmented to the remaining children.
