This summer worship series is inspired by Mary Oliver’s “The Summer Day,” which famously concludes with the poet probing us, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do // with your one wild and precious life?” As we dive into the life of summer, and all that these long days call us into being, Rev. Carter will offer a series of sermons inspired by different lines from this poem.

It has been said that generosity is a form of pure courage. How would we give of ourselves differently if we had trust that relationship is more important than the thing we are giving away, trust that our offerings will be reciprocated? This service will explore ways to flex our generosity muscle in big and small ways, as a courageous commitment to interdependence.
