How to PLAY Horizon Forbidden West on a Low End PC l LOW SPEC TUTORIAL
These tips are not obvious, not even something a lot of people would actually notice. But the impact they make is amazing!
Horizon forbidden west has high minimum requirements that require us to have high spec PCs to even get 30fps @ 720p.
2 things you should know are:
1. this game isn't well optimized for the PC port, so if your graphics look poor on high settings, then go to my documents, horizon forbidden west folder, and delete it, to erase all saved files, restarting the game, thus fixing any graphical issues you may have.
2. The game tends to crash if the GPU cannot handle the high settings or you have less vram than needed, so change your setting in the menu or launcher to very low and that issue will be fixed.
The 2 tricks that will get your more fps are:
1. Lowering in game settings to very low which applies to those with dedicated gpus
2. Tweaking the config file in registry editor/ software / guerrilla games/ graphics folder, to force the game to lower the settings more, and lowering the resolution scale to 800x600, basically, breaking the graphics to earn us a few more fps which works well for those with integrated graphics.
