Kali linux is the very widely used penetration testing framework in the security world. Its continues updates to the tools and kernel and new tool inclusions and rolling update are also a prime reason for the huge fan base, recently kali linux released a new rolling image named 2017.2 which was clearly discussed here in this link go check that out if you want to know what it is.
with this new release they have included few new repositories which includes some interesting tools that worth checking out.
one of them is ssh-audit, which i found pretty cool and useful for the pentesters out there.
so in this video i have clearly shown how to install and how to use ssh-audit tool, and its different options explained. so have some time check this out to know some insights about your target ssh server.
apt-get update
apt install ssh-audit -y
makesure you have ssh port(22 by-default) open on the target
nmap -p22 targetip
syntax: ssh-audit targetip/domain
ex: ssh-audit example.com
ex: ssh-audit 192.168.0.100
