Sonic purity is something that Tiny Morrie is passionate about. Unsatisfied with previous releases of his songs because of sonic alterations and so called, "sonic enhancements," Tiny Morrie has worked with Striking Music to painstakingly and meticulously restore this, and all the other songs on this album, by obtaining the Original Masters from the vaults of Hurricane Records.
The comparison is very easy to do. Just search for this song here on YouTube and compare the differences between this version, and the others. The other versions have added reverb (echo), equalization differences, and in some cases, they are different versions altogether. None of these alterations were ever approved by Tiny Morrie. They were done as a result of someone (with good intentions, mind you) trying to "improve" on the original versions.
But, "improve" is a subjective word. Tiny Morrie has always had the opinion that this and all the other songs on this album, do not need any type of "improvement," and that these other versions of his songs have been embellished and are not true to his original intent. He has always maintained that he recorded, mixed, and released his songs exactly as he wanted them to sound. He considers any alterations to his original versions to be incorrect, unnecessary, and to put it bluntly, just plain wrong.
Yet, time has taken a toll on the original 2 track master tapes. Therefore some restoration was necessary in order to recover and preserve the original audio. Tiny Morrie worked closely with several expert audio engineers to restore this, and all of the songs on this album, and he is now satisfied that this version here on YouTube, as well as the corresponding CD and digital files available on iTunes and elsewhere, are as good and as close to the original as they ever will be.
Be aware though, it's easy to get confused as to which version is which, as those other versions do still exist and are still on the market. For the best Tiny Morrie experience, subscribe to this official channel, and follow his official Facebook ( / tinymorrie .
So now, for the first time since it was available on vinyl decades ago, this song, and the entire "Exitos De Tiny Morrie" album is once again available exactly the way it was originally released, and with the approval of Tiny Morrie himself.
Enjoy!
