Black Widow had the potential to be a great movie, but despite having interesting themes and ideas, it failed to execute those themes and ideas thanks to a problem that has been plaguing the MCU practically from its inception. In today’s video, I examine how the overabundance of quips in Black Widow holds the film back from excellence.
I didn’t have a bad time with Black Widow at all--it’s still an entertaining film and I think the vast majority of people watching it would have a fun time in the theater or at home. To me, Black Widow is just an adequate movie that could have been great, landing firmly in the middle of the pack of MCU films.
