Important protection for you and your boat. Always put ypur battery in a battery box and always use a fuse or circuit breaker. Electricity and water don't mix especially if youve got a metal boat. This is the battery set up I habe for my 24lb thrust trolling motor on the front of my boat. Safety is always a priority when out on the water. Having exposed terminals on a boat, especially an all metal boat can be a disaster that can cause serious injuries or death. Let's be responsible and do things right.
