KINGS - Obed-Edom receives the Ark into his house and is blessed.
Obed-Edom was a Gittite man. During the transport of the ark, the oxen pulling the cart stumbled, the ark threatened to fall, and Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the ark, dying instantly. David, then, was afraid of God and did not bring the ark to the city of David, but left it in the house of Obed-Edom, where it remained for three months, bringing blessing to him and his house.
