What if I became a bird,
So that I could fly fast,
Slipping through the net of all my green desires?
And then you would not be able to catch me.
I would vanish into the sky, leaving no trace.
At the moment, I am a bird without wings,
With aching shoulder blades.
I stay with my feet on the ground,
Accepting that I keep remembering—
And recalling—
Until
The scent of mingled bodies
Fades away
