KBR Kids Day 2011
KBR Kids Day on Buffalo Bayou was on Saturday October 29, and was a great day of fun! Presented by Houston's Buffalo Bayou Partnership, kids and families enjoyed boat rides, park performances, kayak demonstrations, a bayou scavenger hunt, and even a skateboarding demonstration. Kids of all ages were dressed in Halloween costumes, as there was a Halloween costume parade. As the lead sponsor for the past four years, KBR has been a proud supporter of the partnership and its preservation efforts.
This free event was from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Houston's Downtown's Sabine Promenade between Memorial Drive and Allen Parkway. In addition to great attractions, there were plenty of hands-on educational activities, music, food, boat rides on the bayou and a showcase of bayou animals and insects.
