Healing Light: A Collection of Color - E-Book Trailer
A short video trailer for the supplemental e-book I've published as part of my Healing Light exhibition at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics (UIHC) Project Art. The physical exhibition itself was on display in Gallery II, located on the 8th floor of the Carver Pavilion, at the University of Iowa Hospital, in Iowa City, Iowa, from 25 July through 4 November 2019, however the e-book will be available indefinitely.
The e-book contains all of the images on display for the exhibition, as well as a few supplemental images as part of the overall design work, and 10 additional bonus images of new work that have not been previously published or shared. Aside from adding these new images to my website gallery, this e-book will be the only place to see these new images, as they will not be shared individually on social media.
In addition to some original supplemental text written by me at the beginning of the e-book, each of the images in the e-book is paired with the image title and an inspirational quote to bridge connections between the art and the practical world.
A portion of the proceeds from the e-book sales during the exhibition window (25 July to 4 November) will be donated to UIHC Project Art as a way to give back to the project and to help ensure the continued meaningful work of bringing 'healing through art' to the patients, visitors, medical professionals, and staff of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
