The Apple Pencil is a great stylus - it works reliably and offers a comfortable and precise experience for note takers and artists alike. However, this comes at a steep price: even for the 7-year-old Gen 1 stylus, Apple charges $100. And this product has many downsides, including charging in a very cumbersome manner, only being able to work with more budget iPads, and not being very easy to store.
The Logitech Crayon is a great alternative. Not only does it cost $40 less, but it also fixes many of the downfalls of the Gen 1 stylus. It has a flat design, meaning that it doesn't fall off your desk. Plus, it charges by plugging in a Lightening cable. Most surprisingly, however, is that it works with EVERY iPad that uses an Apple Pencil - even iPads that use the Gen 2 pencils. That way, you don't have to spend $120+ just to write with your iPad Air or Pro!
