Cool Magic Card Trick 2: Easiest Card Trick Ever
This video will show you how to do the most simple and basic card trick there is. The trick basically consists of having the person pick a card that you display to them, and then you tuck it into the deck to have it mysteriously reappear at the top of the deck.
The trick is extremely simple to do. First you take a full deck of cards, there isn't anything special about the cards, any deck will do.
Next you take the top four cards, and leave the top card as it is on the deck. You take the next three cards and fan them out, so that half of each of the three cards is in between the back card and the deck, but the top half of each (enough for them to see the suit and value).
So frm the side you are looking at, you have one card in line with the deck closest to you, then a card fanned to the right as the second card, straight up as the third, and fanned to the left as the fourth.
Then you ask the person to choose a card, either 1, 2, or 3. The cards are 1 on the right, 2 is the center card, and 3 is the card on the left. THey don't actually touch the card or anything, they just have to remember it and say the number of the card out loud.
Then you slide the cards together so that you have just a regular deck of cards again. You thn put the number of cards into the middle of the deck that is the same as the number the person chose. So if they chose the first card, you move one card to the middle of the pile. If they selected the second card, move two cards to the middle of the pile one at a time, and if they chose the third move three cards.
At this point, because of the hidden card behind the three that were fanned out, their card will be on the top of the deck, but they will think their card is lost in the middle of pile.
At this point it is your job to put in as much flourish as you can. Wave your hand over the pile and say abracadabra, or blow on the pile and then flick it, or really anything you want. Just make it seem as though you do something to the deck. This is to distract them into thinking you're currently moving the card, so they watch closely for it, and so they don't think the switch happened way at the beginning of the trick.
