"Swedish Hard Dance producer Albin Östberg (ConnecteD) returns to GT Digital with his latest banger “Diamond Rain”, a fitting title for a jewel of a track.
ConnecteD has developed a reputation for being one of the most unique musicians in the Hard Trance scene, fusing a variety of sounds and unreal layering into his productions.
''Diamond Rain'' continues his streak of excellent releases, and is a fitting follow-up to Valkyria, his release on GT Digital last year.
The track opening immediately calls out to the oldschool with massive and dirty clubhouse kicks and acid stabs, with the rumbling bassline forming the backdrop for a dusky and atmospheric progression.

Around 2:00, the mood changes to something darker and then sees a shift back to the oldschool vibe.
For some of the track a low-end acid line is retained for an Italo feel, only adding to the classic high.

But it is in the breakdown and climactic drop where ConnecteD truly shows off his expertise.
The break is lovely with excellent filtering and all leads up to a sublime climax.
With a flurry of layering, there is such a plethora of sounds flying around yet they are organized so masterfully (particularly with the bellsynth as if the sky is indeed raining diamonds).
Albin retains his signature sound throughout the entirety of the track yet it will be discerned from his other productions for having a more mystical rather than industrial aura.

“Diamond Rain” is possibly my new favorite release by the talented Swede, and is another sign of even more impressive things to come."'
