50 USTA FOTOĞRAFÇI / 50 MASTER PHOTOGRAPHERS
Hello dear friends. I prepared a video for you about 50 photographers you should know. Of course, from the person who took the first photo, to the other masters who transformed the history of photography, to other inventors, out of hundreds of people, I reported the 50 people I found most important. Starting with the inventor who took the first photo, I made a list that I care about. The historical intervals are close to each other, but there is no complete chronology. Right after the invention of photography in the world's history, it gave a great memory of humanity, who transformed the technology that produced extraordinary photographs with the camera. After a while, I listed the important photographers who left a memory and the names who made significant contributions to the philosophy of photography. I made a list from photojournalism to fashion photography, from the master of photography who took pictures for the first time with x-ray lights to young photographers who produce excellent photographs today and produce works that will remain in history. I hope you like it. This is an important video for me. In fact, this is a history that will be especially shown in photography classes. Of course there is much more, of course there are excellent people, there are excellent photographers, artists. Let this be a start. Also, in the continuation of this video, there may be other videos, but I will try to prepare a video about 50 photographers you need to know and also 100 photographers in Turkey, if I can. I hope you like it. I hope it will be useful for all of us. I especially want young friends to watch it and take an example from it. Let’s get to know all these names one by one. Everyone’s feelings can vary. When I say that my criteria for picking up these photographers are based on scientific data. I have to admit I do not know statistics. I mean, they took wonderful photos. I made some choices. In fact, the world’s cultural and artistic life does not flow as a whole. For example, in China, Japan, Indonesia, South Africa, Arabia, and Afghanistan there are photographers who are really talented and produce excellent works, but of course, if we can see their photos we can get to know those people. There is a common history formed. I tried to pick the names that caught everyone’s eye and heard a little about this common history. But you know, why don’t I know a Japanese photographer? Yes this is my fault, but in general terms, that Japanese photographer also needs to show his work to the world. Now, in this digital age, you can reach people from different countries, different cultures, artists, and photographers. In particular, the existence of social networks such as Instagram, social networks where photos are shared and social networks such as YouTube can lead us to a perfect person in a country that has never been known in the world. But the general flow has progressed so far in America and Europe in the last century. From these geographies, we have always encountered names from big photo agencies such as Magnum Photos, AP or some portrait photographers in America. I’m curious about the new age, what will come our way in the new age, how exciting work will we see. We will see together.
