I'm excited to share a project I've been passionately working on – a real-time AI driver behaviour monitoring system! This innovative system leverages the power of YOLOvX for the model, OpenCV video processing, ElevenLabs for the audio feedback, distracted driving is one of the leading causes of road accidents.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration NHTSA T, over 3000 lives are lost annually due to distracted driving. In Zambia, the Safety and Transport Agency and Zambia Police reports similarly alarming statistics. These numbers underscore the urgent need for technological solutions to enhance road safety.

Using advanced computer vision techniques, my system monitors driver behavior in real-time, identifying potential distractions and alerting drivers promptly. This technology not only aims to save lives but also supports the development of autonomous vehicles by industry giants like Toyota Motor Corporation, Tesla, BMW of North America, and BYD.
